In 2020, we worked with the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College to create free programs tailored for students.
The Ottawa Adventure Film Festival has always been a place for breathtaking, change-making, and groundbreaking films from all corners of the globe.
In 2021, we will take this mentality a step further. With virtual screenings, we will share a collection of inspiring stories and uplifting images with a global audience.
The Ottawa Adventure Film Festival is a local event that brings together the region's vibrant outdoor community to watch the best outdoor adventure films worldwide. Facing unique challenges, the event has put together a diverse lineup of programming with curated films from around the world.
The festival will offer all programs virtually, and a small selection of programs live in the Mayfair theatre. We hope you enjoy OAFF 2021 as much as we have enjoyed putting it together for you.
Skiing as sport is in it’s infancy in China, a phenomenon of the country’s exploding middle class. As a means of survival, however, it is thousands of years old, a stone age hunter-gatherer technology born in the Altai mountains where China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Siberia merge.
On a vast trajectory that spans 11,000km of Northern China, Chad Sayers and Forrest Coots touch down into the rich past and dizzying future of these two respective Chinese ski cultures. As one rapidly expands, they find the other is at risk of disappearing. Presented by Arc'teryx in association with Gore-Tex.
